IASIS Healthcare will roll out a Cerner integrated system for its clinical and financial records.

The Tennessee health system will implement an electronic health record and revenue cycle system across all its hospitals, clinics and other provider facilities that together serve more than 1.1 million patients annually.

"We chose Cerner because we believe they provide a system that will enhance our efforts to provide high quality, cost-effective healthcare for our patients and health plan members," W. Carl Whitmer, president and CEO of IASIS, said in a news release. "We also believe that Cerner will be a sustainable and scalable long-term option, which is important to us."

"Cerner is well established with other health organizations in our regions, which will benefit providers across the continuum of care as they strive to make informed health decisions based on patients' complete health records."

IASIS operates 16 acute care hospitals, one behavioral hospital, 144 physician clinics, multiple outpatient surgical units, imaging centers and investments in urgent care centers and on-site employer-based clinics.

Health Choice, the Company's managed care risk platform, delivers services to approximately 624,000 members through its multiple health plans, accountable care networks and agreements to serve as a management services organization with third party insurers.
